Even though today we are covering the last bit of content from Culturas, and it will a first of sorts.  Last year I taught at seminar at my “previous institution” (that’s the way people around here tend to talk about wherever they were before so as not to offend any sensibilities about my “current institution”).  The project of the course was to make a series of three documentaries about the local Latino community in the small central Kentucky town of Danville.  We called the series Contando Historias.  I have used three clips from one of the documentaries for this unit in Culturas.  It will be interesting to see how it goes today:  students reflecting on the work of other students.
